We are back home and reunited now! It is good to be back. I took Oscar down to Pensacola on Friday morning and it was the first time he'd been away from his Mama overnight, and he did well. Big boy! He got lots of love from Grammy Bett, Poppy Dixon and GG. Not to mention quick visits with Melisa and her family (and pets) and Unc Cooper and Jerry. It was a pretty full 3 days, that is for sure. On Friday, we arrived pretty late. Oscar took a short nap, then got up and had his dinner. He played with some of my old toys that Mom had saved (the Fisher Price airplane and people and cars). He went to bed pretty early as I recall. Then Mom and Dixon made dinner, fried oysters and sauteed red snapper. Yum. Saturday we got up early, had breakfast and Mom and I drove over to Ft. Walton. Oscar got to see GG for a little while and played in her living room. He liked ringing the bell and playing with the shells and stones in her basket. We gave Melisa a call and she invited us to come over before she had to go to work. We only had an hour or so, but it was good to see her and for her to see Oscar again. We also found out she is expecting her fourth! Congratulations to Melisa and Michael. Also congrats to Nathan and Stephanie, who are also expecting a little one in the near future.
