Happy Thanksgiving 2002--Makes me think about what we were all doing last Thanksgiving... I guess all these things will be linked together for all time now. We have a lot to be thankful for. What a year!

We are celebrating with Mom and Dixon in San Miguel. They had some of their closest friends over and had a veritable feast. Megan baked two pies (one sweet potato and one apple). Dixon made a first class turkey and garlic mashed potatoes that easily beat Cashion's.

A few days ago we celebrated Oscar's first birthday on the 22nd. Mom and Dixon organized a huge party to commemorate her 60th and his first. We'll have to post some photos later. It was an impressive collection of people and was very festive. I think Oscar's favorite part (and mine) was the mariachi trio. He really enjoyed listening to them play and he even kind of danced a little. The "tres leches" cake was a new discovery for him, and was enjoyed by all. He received so many presents it took us half of the next day to open them all. Everyone was very nice and Oscar made many new friends.

We're both going to have to post more about the trip and the birthday party when we have the time. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
